• Arthur: No one's slick as that Jack
  • Arthur: No one's quick as that Jack
  • Arthur: No one's braid's as incredibly thick as that Jack's
  • Arthur: For there's no man in town that's half as golden
  • Arthur: Perfect, a pure paragon
  • Arthur: You can ask any Vince, Gil or Oswald.
  • Arthur: And they'll tell you whose team they prefer to be on
  • Arthur: *takes deep breath*
  • Arthur: No one's been like that Jack
  • Arthur: A king pin like that Jack
  • Arthur: No one's got a swell cleft in his chin like that Jack
  • Jack: As a specimen, yes, I'm intimidating
  • Arthur: My- what a guy, that old Jack.

Alyss smiled radiantly at Lacie and laughed some with her. “That’s good to hear~” She paused, then took a small breath in. “And… if I tell you something, promise you won’t get mad or worried or any ridiculous emotion like that?” She could trust Lacie. And at the small chance that things went horribly wrong, who was to say that Alyss couldn’t take action?

Lacie blinked in curioisty at what Alyss had just said. She wasn’t worried, as the way she stated it. Afterall, Alyss could take of herself. There was no need for Lacie to worry. But anger? She would have to wait to see.” Sure~,I promise! What do you want to tell me, dear?” Lacie hoped it wasn’t anything bad.

“Well… I suppose that you could say… that I can say that… Oz and I are in a relationship,” Alyss said hesitantly at first, but quickly sped through it. Lacie was the first person that Alyss had notified of this, so any kind of response was still unbeknownst to her. The massive range of possibilities was slightly terrifying.

Alexander yawned, tired, and the day was only beginning. He had got up two hours ago, and left for work a bit after that. But the truth is that last night was just insane, so none of them had any sleep. Another yawn. This wasn’t really polite, but he couldn’t help but to stretch himself, as higher as he could.

“Ahhhh… That felt good..” - she murmured, with his eyes still closed from the small pleasure given by that act - “U-Uh?” - there was a small girl, whose long hair was completely white, looking at him. He stopped walking and opened a thin smile. “Are you lost?” - he asked gently, approaching the girl.

Alyss blinked as she observed the young man in front of her- she wasn’t entirely sure how she got to be where she was, but the girl was never much of a questioner to these kinds of situations. “I suppose you could say I am… Mind telling me where I am~?”

The brunette in front of her seemed…different. She couldn’t feel a single trace of connection to the Abyss at all, unlike most people she had encountered. So either he was completely innocent…or absolutely deceptive. It was hard to make out the result.

Alexander stopped near the girl, still smiling, trying to analyse the situation. This girl isn’t from here, definitely. But there was something off with her, like her innocent appearance wasn’t more than a deceiving shell. He choosed to ignore it, for the time being, saving his questions for a more propitious moment.

“You’re in California, USA.” - he answered, smiling - “How did you get here, little one?”

Alyss paused for a moment before answering- if he really did have no idea who she could possibly be, then she would have to play an entirely new set of cards in order to get out safe. “Same as anyone… I took a boat~” she replied, seeing a dock far off. “But I don’t really know my way around here.”

But in reality, she wasn’t sure how she got there, or why she was there. It would be amusing to see what would happen to her in this strange place.

He smiled at the girls answer. “Well then, you are a brave one! I could never travel by boat, I tend to be sea sick.” - he confessed with a laugh.

“Oh, do you want to see something specif? I can give you a small tour, since it’s still early.”

She giggled and replied, “I would love a tour~ And may I ask who my tour guide is?” This young man, with whiplash brunette hair and striking blue eyes… He almost seemed too good to be true. Alyss could spot those kinds a million miles away. And that is exactly why she continued to smile like she always did.

“R-Really?” Alyss said, rocking back and forth on her heels. No matter how independent she claimed herself to be, this was her own birth mother, and some childlike instincts were resurfacing. “How’s everything with you been~? Have you seen Jack lately, or Oz~?”

Should I tell her about Oz and I? she thought curiously.

“Yes, really! You’ve grown into a beautiful girl.” Lacie complimented, smiling brightly at her daughter. It was true, just like for Alice. Lacie chuckled softly and nodded, clasping her hands behind her back. “They’ve been going well! Yes, infact I have! Jack is still Jack and Oz is quite interesting.”

Alyss smiled radiantly at Lacie and laughed some with her. “That’s good to hear~” She paused, then took a small breath in. “And… if I tell you something, promise you won’t get mad or worried or any ridiculous emotion like that?” She could trust Lacie. It was her. It had to be her… no one else had this lingering feeling of nostalgia around them. Alyss ran up to her and stared directly up at her, saying, “You’re Lacie, aren’t you~?”

Lacie stared wide-eyed at her daughter, surprised at how quickly she was able to recognize her. Nodding, the woman smiled softly at the girl. “Yes, yes I am.”

Her violet eyes blinked in shock- this was the woman who gave meaning to both her and Alice’s existence. Suddenly, the all-powerful Will of the Abyss felt smaller than ever next to her. “I…I didn’t think you would ever come back.”

Lacie’s own crimson eyes looked down as she smiled sadly.  She had been gone for most of Alyss’s life, and now that she was here…well, it felt a bit unnerving. She didn’t know what to say nor do. “I wanted to see you…see how much you’ve grown.”

Lacie recognized the girl very easily. How could she not? Smiling softly, the woman nodded once. “Why hello there~.”

Alyss stared at the woman for a moment, but dawned a smile as usual. “Hello there~ What brings you here?”

Lacie pondered for a moment before answering. “Oh just walking around`.”

It was her. It had to be her… no one else had this lingering feeling of nostalgia around them. Alyss ran up to her and stared directly up at her, saying, “You’re Lacie, aren’t you~?”
